We have the perfect smash burger and potato wedge recipes for entertaining guests or family dinner nights! These recipes are simple, easy to make, and can be modified to fit your personal taste. Recipes serve 2.
Start the potato wedges first and make your burgers once the potatoes are in the oven.
FOR THE POTATO WEDGES
Ingredients
3 medium-sized potatoes or 2 large ones. Yukon Gold is a personal favorite, but any potato is perfectly fine!
vegetable oil
parmesan cheese
Italian seasoning
garlic powder
onion powder
salt
pepper
chili flakes (optional) Preparation Preheat your oven to 425. Wash and dry your potatoes, and slice them into wedges. In a large bowl, combine the potatoes, parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili flakes. Drizzle the vegetable oil over the potatoes and toss them in the seasoning. Line a baking tray with aluminum foil and place the wedges onto the tray with half an inch in between them. Bake for 28 minutes. (Make your burgers!)
FOR THE BURGERS
Ingredients
1lb of ground beef
1 egg
salt
pepper
garlic powder
onion powder
paprika
Preparation
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Form the mixture into four balls roughly the size of golf balls. Preheat a large skillet or griddle and place the meat on the surface. Using wax paper, place a sheet over each ball and press each burger with a spatula until the patty is about a quarter of an inch thick. Sprinkle each side with a dash of salt. The secret to smash burgers is the crust! Let each side cook until a nice crust forms, then top with your favorite cheese. While the patties finish cooking, toast up your burger buns, get all of your favorite toppings ready, and check your potato wedges!
These burgers are great as a single patty burger or can be stacked as high as your appetite will allow. Enjoy your meal!
